The Department of Economics was introduced in Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Degree College with its establishment in 1990 and has been a part of the college curriculum regularly since then.The founder teachers of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha College established as a single entity college in 1988 continued the teaching of Economics as an optional subject in the newly established Degree section with the nomenclature of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Degree College in 1990. The Department of Economics is an important part of the College that incorporates students from different parts of Udalguri, Darrang and Sonitpur districts. The Department presently offers both Regular Course and Honours Course under Bodoland University,Kokrajhar.
